Marienlyst Beach Hotel

Marienlyst Beach Hotel since 1861 - Helsingö

The hotel is named after Frederik the Fifth’s queen, Juliane Marie, and was founded in 1861. The hotel was quickly recognized throughout Europe and had among the prominent guests both princes and royals in addition to Copenhagen’s upper class who went up the coast to enjoy the summer in Öresund. Every week, the local newspaper was able to satisfy its curiosity about glamorous news by letting its gaze run along the long list of newly arrived guests at Hotel Marienlyst.
